Level 2 Deskside Support Engineer – Cork

About the role

We are seeking a Level 2 Deskside Support Engineer to join our Cork office on a full‑time permanent basis. The role involves delivering advanced onsite technical assistance to end‑users, ensuring smooth operation of desktop environments, meeting‑room equipment and related IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide back‑line support for manufacturing operations, analysing and resolving workstation and production system incidents.
• Deploy, configure and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 desktops, Office 365 applications and related hardware.
• Maintain and service meeting‑room equipment, printers (Safecom secure print) and mobile phones.
• Diagnose wireless network problems and support VPN connections for remote staff.
• Liaise with external vendors for installation and configuration of laboratory instruments.
• Maintain the hardware inventory database, recording moves and additions according to process.
• Own user tickets, deliver timely updates and escalate when required.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of deskside or IT support experience.
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11, Active Directory and Office 365.
• Familiarity with SCCM, Intune or comparable device‑management tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
