About the role

D. M. O'Connor & Co., a well‑established general practice legal firm in Galway city, is seeking an ambitious Solicitor to join its busy, collegiate team. The role offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload across multiple practice areas and develop expertise in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload independently across all practice areas of the firm.
• Appear before courts and administrative bodies as required.
• Build and nurture long‑term client relationships in line with the firm’s values.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider team.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland.
• Minimum two years post‑qualification experience, preferably in a general practice environment.
• Demonstrable experience in at least two of the firm’s practice areas.
• Excellent written and oral communication with a client‑centred approach.
• Strong organisational ability and capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Irish language proficiency an advantage but not essential.
