Staff Nurse – Children’s Hub (Part‑time / Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for compassionate nurses to join the Horizons Children’s Hub in Montenotte, Cork. The role involves providing high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to children and young people with intellectual disabilities and autism, supporting them and their families to thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to children and young people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
• Support the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual support plans and short‑break passports in collaboration with the Child’s Disability Network Team and other services.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to service development.
• Ensure safeguarding, dignity and inclusion are central to all practice.

Required profile

• Relevant third‑level nursing qualification and registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
• Legal right to work and reside in Ireland at the time of application.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Experience with children with intellectual disabilities or autism is an advantage.
• Full clean driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficient IT skills.

What we offer

• Permanent part‑time (37.5 hours over two weeks) or full‑time (75 hours per fortnight) contracts.
• Salary on the 13‑point HSE scale ranging from €37,788 to €56,032 per annum.
