Staff Nurse – Emergency Department

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join the Emergency Department at Naas General Hospital. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients presenting with urgent medical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
• Provide holistic care that promotes patient independence and enhances quality of life.
• Perform clinical and administrative duties required in an acute Emergency Department setting.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions.
• Ensure compliance with annual registration and patient safety assurance requirements.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse on the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) register.
• Current annual registration and ability to provide the Patient Safety Assurance Certificate.
• Good health and character, capable of delivering regular and efficient service.
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in an acute Emergency Department.
