Medical Affairs Manager, Spain

About the role

The Medical Affairs Manager for Spain will act as the scientific and clinical authority for DePuy Synthes orthopedic products in the Spanish market. Reporting to the Clinical Medical Affairs team, you will shape local medical strategy, support evidence generation, and foster strong relationships with healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute the local medical affairs strategy for DePuy Synthes orthopedic portfolios in Spain, aligned with regional and global objectives.
• Serve as the primary medical and scientific expert, providing clinical guidance and balanced scientific exchange with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
• Oversee medical education programs, including investigator‑initiated studies, clinical training, and congress activities, ensuring scientific integrity and compliance.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Commercial, Regulatory, Market Access, and Quality teams to support product lifecycle activities and evidence generation.
• Review and approve medical content to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with clinical data and regulatory requirements.
• Support post‑market clinical surveillance, risk management, and patient safety initiatives.
• Represent Medical Affairs on local governance committees and drive continuous improvement of medical processes and standards.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD).
• Demonstrated experience in medical affairs, preferably within orthopedics or related therapeutic areas.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements for medical content.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
