About the role

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join the acute Emergency Department in Naas, Kildare. This permanent, full‑time position is open to both HSE and non‑HSE applicants and offers the opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to patients presenting with emergency medical conditions.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with HSE policies and standards.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and emergency department initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration in Ireland.
• Demonstrated experience in an acute Emergency Department setting.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make swift clinical decisions.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient safety.
