Staff Nurse / Social Care & Support Worker – Day Services (Offaly)

About the role

The Muiriosa Foundation is seeking enthusiastic Staff Nurses, Social Care Workers and Support Workers to join a dynamic team delivering day‑service programmes across Offaly. You will help individuals develop independent living skills, engage with the community and promote personal health and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Support participants in day‑service settings located in Tullamore, Ballycumber, Clara and Edenderry.
• Facilitate independent living activities and community inclusion.
• Promote personal health, wellbeing and self‑esteem.
• Encourage and motivate individuals to lead fulfilling lives.

Required profile

• Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care (Level 7, CORU approved) or Nursing qualification (RNID/General/Mental Health – NMBI registered) or HSE‑recognised Fetac/QQI Level 5 with willingness to complete.
• Registration with CORU (or in process) for social‑care candidates.
• Valid manual driving licence in Ireland.
• Knowledge of New Directions and experience working with people who have a range of support needs, including behaviours of concern.
• Ability to use initiative, plan effectively and meet basic IT requirements (email, word processing).

Required skills

• Proficiency with the New Directions system.
• Basic IT skills – email, word processing, and use of standard computer systems.
