About the role
The Process Development Lead will drive end‑to‑end development projects for a leading medtech company, guiding concepts through design for manufacturing (DFM) to commercialisation. This position works closely with cross‑functional teams across multiple sites to deliver innovative, life‑saving technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Lead cross‑functional project teams through the R&D lifecycle, ensuring alignment with development phase‑gate objectives.
- Create, track, and communicate key milestones in partnership with the PMO and development teams.
- Coordinate with Operations, Regulatory, R&D, and Quality functions to define and complete deliverables.
- Translate business strategy into detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Monitor progress, highlight acceleration opportunities, and manage escalations or delays.
- Maintain transparent communication channels for project changes and stakeholder updates.
- Prioritise work and resources to align with business unit priorities.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience, specifically in R&D operations.
- Professional certification such as PMP (highly desirable).
- Proven program‑management experience in new‑product development life‑cycle.
- Strong knowledge of the medical‑device industry.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, geographically diverse organisation.
- Demonstrated leadership and issue‑resolution capabilities.
