Swimming Teachers & Lifeguards – Pop‑Up Pool in Ballinrobe

About the role

Swim Ireland is expanding its pool operations with a new pop‑up pool in Ballinrobe, County Mayo. We are looking for enthusiastic Swimming Teachers and Lifeguards to join our team on a full‑time or part‑time basis, delivering high‑quality instruction and ensuring a safe swimming environment for all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons in line with Swim Ireland guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised pool area before, during, and after sessions.
• Monitor swimmer progress, keep accurate attendance records, and provide feedback to participants and parents.
• Supervise pool users, enforce rules, and respond swiftly to emergencies.
• Perform rescues, administer first aid or CPR when required, and conduct regular safety checks of equipment and water quality.

Required profile

• Passionate about water safety and swimming education.
• Calm under pressure, observant, and able to work with diverse age groups.
• Committed to creating an inclusive and enjoyable learning environment.

Required skills

• CPR certification.
• First aid training.
