Early Years Educator (Full‑Time) – Swords

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Early Years Educator to join our Swords centre on a full‑time permanent basis. You will create a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children, supporting their physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate activities that build on children’s interests and observations.
• Supervise children during play, meals and outdoor time, promoting social learning.
• Observe, document and communicate each child’s progress to parents and guardians.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in line with health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent implementation of the “No Screen Time” policy.

Required profile

• Minimum QQI Level 5 childcare qualification or an equivalent DCI‑EDIY recognised qualification.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
• Positive attitude, genuine love for children and ability to work flexibly within a team.
• Willingness to undergo Garda vetting and provide a valid police certificate if required.

Required skills

• First Aid certification (desirable).
• Manual handling training (desirable).
• Food safety training (desirable).
