Tax Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Director to join a leading professional services firm in the West of Ireland. You will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of tax clients, delivering high‑quality tax advice, and supporting the growth of the tax department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of tax clients across multiple sectors.
• Deliver tax compliance and advisory services, including restructuring, succession and tax planning.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while working closely with senior leadership.
• Support and review the work of junior team members.
• Contribute to business development and recruitment activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues across service lines on complex assignments.
• Participate in networking events and internal training initiatives.

Required profile

• CTA qualified and/or member of the Irish Taxation Institute.
• Strong technical tax knowledge across multiple tax heads.
• Experience managing client relationships within a practice.
• Commercially aware with solid business acumen.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership or team‑management experience is advantageous.
• Comfortable working with owner‑managed businesses and corporate clients.
• Motivated, adaptable and team‑oriented.
