Trucking Foreman / Driver (Dublin Airport)

About the role

Swissport is looking for a Trucking Foreman/Driver to join its Irish Trucking Operation at Dublin Airport. Working on a 4‑on, 4‑off 12‑hour shift pattern, you will act as the vital link between the warehouse and the wider logistics network, ensuring smooth movement of trailers and freight.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee safe and efficient movement of trailers between loading bays and parking areas.
• Maintain regular phone communication with sister depots in London Heathrow and Manchester to align schedules and resolve delays.
• Assist with loading and unloading of trailers, adhering to safety protocols.
• Locate specific freight within the warehouse for just‑in‑time loading.
• Perform local collections and deliveries within the Dublin area as required.
• Provide real‑time updates to the Trucking Office on trailer status and bay availability.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and keep the yard clean and organized, complying with aviation security and health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Full, valid HGV licence (C+E) with an up‑to‑date CPC card.
• Proven experience in yard foreman duties, shunting, or heavy‑goods driving, preferably in a fast‑paced cargo or logistics environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills for phone, radio and face‑to‑face interactions.
• Willingness to work a 4‑on, 4‑off 12‑hour shift rotation and cover holidays or sickness as needed.
• Physical fitness to handle freight and operate in a busy yard for long shifts.
• Reliability and strong work ethic to ensure smooth handovers.
