Materials Planner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Materials Planner to join a fast‑paced, collaborative supply‑chain team within a leading FMCG organisation in Dublin. The role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted supply of raw materials and packaging, supporting production operations while optimising inventory and supplier performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage material requirements plans aligned with production schedules and customer demand.
• Monitor stock levels, maintain optimal inventory and minimise shortages or excess stock.
• Coordinate with suppliers to secure on‑time delivery of raw materials and packaging components.
• Track supplier performance and proactively resolve supply or delivery issues.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Warehouse and Demand Planning teams.
• Manage purchase orders, expedite deliveries when required and keep ERP data accurate.
• Analyse inventory trends, forecast requirements and identify process‑improvement opportunities.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives across planning and supply‑chain operations.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards and health & safety procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Materials, Supply or Production Planning.
• Previous experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical or other high‑volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain planning principles and inventory management.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
