Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator – Full‑time in Limerick

About the role

Coffey is seeking a full‑time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator for a plant in the Limerick area. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining plant processes, ensuring compliance and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage processes and equipment to ensure optimum plant performance and contractual compliance.
• Perform manual operational duties, including assisting with bulk deliveries and removals.
• Monitor plant equipment, alarms and instrumentation.
• Respond to plant failures outside normal hours according to roster and provide remote troubleshooting when needed.
• Maintain treatment facility buildings, cleaning and hard‑standing areas.
• Ensure health & safety, ethical and quality requirements are fully respected and adhered to.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years experience in wastewater process operations (advantageous).
• Flexible and available outside normal working week for immediate site attendance.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent oral and written reporting skills.
• Good understanding of quality, environmental and safety management systems.
• Full clean driver’s licence.
