Associate Specialist Engineer – Process Engineering

About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations, continuous improvement and innovation across internal and external manufacturing activities. The role will play an important part in supporting new product introductions, technical transfers and process development within an API manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a key contributor to new product introduction and technical transfer activities, including the introduction of new technologies.
• Work within a multifunctional, diverse team to deliver project objectives on schedule and meet product launch milestones.
• Support day‑to‑day development plans across projects, collaborating closely with global R&D partners.
• Evaluate raw materials, conduct process fit assessments, and optimise chemical API processes.
• Participate in campaign preparation, safety and environmental reviews, batch sheet reviews, regulatory compliance, and deviation investigations.

Required profile

• A degree in Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of one year post‑graduation experience in pharmaceutical API manufacturing or process development.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to influence and support improvement initiatives.
• Strong personal integrity, credibility and excellent communication skills.
