Customer Assistant – Permanent Part‑Time (20‑25 hrs)

About the role

Join Tesco’s Enfield Express store as a Customer Assistant on a permanent part‑time basis (20‑25 hours per week). You will be the front‑line face of the store, helping customers find what they need and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Put the customer first in every interaction and provide friendly, proactive service.
• Maintain product availability on the shop floor and assist customers in locating items.
• Handle all merchandise with care to preserve quality and presentation.
• Keep the shop floor and back‑of‑house areas clean, tidy, and safe.
• Follow Tesco policies, health‑and‑safety procedures, and department routines.
• Support colleagues by helping in other departments when required.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, natural customer service with a smile and a welcoming attitude.
• Hard‑working, reliable and punctual.
• Ability to prioritise tasks to benefit customers and the team.
• Adaptable and resilient to meet changing business demands.
• Capable of following verbal or written instructions.
• Presentable, smart and tidy at all times.
