Data Engineering Intern

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Data Engineering Intern to join its Dublin team for a six‑month program starting February 2027. The role offers hands‑on experience with large, complex data sets and the chance to contribute to real‑world business solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines, models and scalable processing solutions.
• Gather, analyse and interpret data to identify trends, opportunities and solutions.
• Apply statistical, analytical, machine learning and AI techniques to business challenges.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and international teams to deliver data‑driven applications.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or accelerated master’s programme, graduating summer 2028.
• Available for a six‑month internship starting February 2027.
• Experience or coursework in data science, data engineering, statistics, computer science or related fields.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
