Electrical Contracts Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join a leading construction firm in South Dublin. This full‑time, permanent position will take projects from procurement through construction, ensuring timely and profitable delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Take over projects post‑procurement and manage the transition to the construction phase.
• Oversee equipment submittals and approve the most economical options before site commencement.
• Review construction issue drawings, measuring items for orders such as trays, trunking, and lighting.
• Liaise with the AutoCAD operative to mark up builder’s work, service runs, containment runs, and coordinated services drawings.
• Work closely with the Site Manager on programme, quality of installation, and resource allocation.
• Handle all correspondence with the main contractor via email.
• Attend regular site meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Submit RFIs, variations, and valuations regularly to maintain project flow.
• Communicate any variations to tender drawings promptly to the main contractor.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and maintain profitability.
• Collaborate with the surveying department to prepare tenders for upcoming projects.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned by the organisation.

Required profile

• Electrical trade background (essential).
• Proven experience managing commercial electrical projects.
• Strong understanding of contracts, variations, and project finances.
• Ability to work closely with site teams and contractors.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
