Facilities Technician – Dublin

About the role

Sysco, Ireland’s largest foodservice provider, is seeking a Facilities Technician for its Dublin Distribution Centre. You will be responsible for keeping the plant’s mechanical and electrical systems running safely and efficiently, supporting the company’s commitment to quality, health and safety, and environmental initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality maintenance services to ensure equipment operates efficiently, safely and reliably.
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, including electro‑mechanical repairs on high‑speed PLC‑controlled handling and packaging equipment.
• Maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, compressed‑air and refrigeration systems.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance routines and record all work in the CMMS.
• Enter data, update equipment records and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing or logistics environment (post‑apprenticeship).
• Strong awareness of Quality, Health and Safety standards.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance and fault‑finding.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and travel as needed.
