About the role
Commonland is looking for a passionate Labs Designer & Facilitator to co‑design and deliver a multi‑year learning Lab for landscape restoration across the UK and Ireland. You will work remotely, collaborating with a small team of facilitators and host partners to drive systemic change and regenerative futures.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the co‑design and delivery of the UK/Ireland Lab, adapting the programme to local contexts while aligning with Commonland’s strategy.
- Develop participatory, multi‑stakeholder learning processes using systems thinking, design methodologies and transformative facilitation.
- Support landscape partners in identifying root causes of environmental and social challenges and addressing structural barriers.
- Strengthen connections among participating initiatives to build a learning community and action‑oriented partnership.
- Collaborate with a small pool of facilitators and hosts to deliver impactful learning experiences.
- Contribute to Commonland’s global learning infrastructure and share insights across regions.
Required profile
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate future possibilities into breakthrough strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, able to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous environments, experimenting and adapting as needed.
- Strong collaboration skills, building partnerships to meet shared objectives.
- Experience building formal and informal learning networks.
- Project‑management capability to plan, execute and monitor initiatives efficiently.
