Lead Software Engineer – Full Stack & Data Pipelines

About the role

Mastercard is seeking an innovative Lead Software Engineer to head a team that designs and builds a full‑stack web application and associated data pipelines. The role sits within the Data & Services team, supporting advanced analytics products that provide insights on credit risk, portfolio optimization, and advertising performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small, agile team in the end‑to‑end development of a responsive UI and robust backend services.
• Design and implement data models, data flows, and big‑data processing pipelines.
• Collaborate with product owners and other business units to deliver solutions that add value for Mastercard customers.
• Drive the transition to API‑based data publishing for seamless integration across Mastercard products.
• Ensure high quality through code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
• Strong background in full‑stack development and data engineering.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with business stakeholders and technical partners.
• Experience delivering scalable, data‑driven applications.
