Part-Time Food & Beverage Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Food & Beverage Assistant to join the bar and restaurant team at the Metropole Hotel in Cork. The role involves supporting guests in a fast‑paced hospitality environment, ensuring high standards of service, cleanliness and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Report for duty on time in the correct uniform and maintain a tidy work area.
• Set tables, control linen stocks and prepare mise‑en‑place for each shift.
• Serve food and beverages in the restaurant, bar, meeting rooms or banqueting areas following Trigon Hotel Group standards.
• Take orders, handle billing and perform end‑of‑shift cash‑up.
• Maintain hygiene and health‑and‑safety standards, including fire safety procedures.
• Address guest enquiries and complaints professionally and notify management when required.
• Participate in monthly staff meetings, training sessions and any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Warm, positive personality with a genuine interest in guest care.
• Team player who can also take initiative when needed.
• Previous experience in a hospitality or food‑service role is welcomed.
