Process Trainer

About the role

The Process Trainer will join the Human Resources and Training team at Simberi Gold’s open‑cut mine on Simberi Island. Reporting to the Training Superintendent, you will lead technical training for the Process Plant workforce, ensuring safety, compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality training programs that meet safety and compliance standards.
• Develop, implement and maintain Process Operations training systems across the Processing Department.
• Maintain accurate training records and assessment evidence in the InTuition Training Management System within 24 hours of completion.
• Plan and coordinate weekly training activities for rotating shift crews.
• Identify training needs, create company‑specific materials and support external trainers.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and uphold housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Experience in delivering technical training in an industrial or mining environment.
• Strong understanding of process plant operations and safety protocols.
• Ability to work on a 21/14 roster and travel to remote sites.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the InTuition Training Management System.
