Production Operator – Assembly & Testing

About the role

We are looking for a Production Operator to join our Carrigaline facility. The successful candidate will work on the assembly of sub‑assemblies, modules and complete products, following engineering documentation and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble sub‑assemblies, modules and top‑level products according to specifications, checklists and drawings.
• Perform prototype work under engineering direction and rework of specific parts.
• Use hand tools, torque tools and small power/air tools to install mechanical fasteners, PCB’s, cables, harnesses and metal chassis.
• Document production activities, complete required paperwork and prepare units for weekly shipping.
• Handle controlled chemicals, grease, adhesives and other consumables safely.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in electronic or mechanical assembly in an industrial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and production targets.
• Ability to work both standing and sitting for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks.
• Good problem‑solving and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IPC‑7711/IPC‑7721 and IPC‑J standards.
• Proficiency with torque tools and a variety of hand tools.
• Familiarity with VDU/DSE interfaces for documentation.
