Senior Accountant – Global Financial Services

About the role

West Pharmaceutical Services is modernising its global accounting operations and needs a Senior Accountant to support the migration of Record‑to‑Report activities into the Global Financial Services (GFS) hub in Dublin. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and the D&T team to ensure a smooth transition to a single SAP ERP platform while maintaining compliance with US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Support the migration of record‑to‑report functions from other locations.
• Analyse and clear balance‑sheet reconciliations before migration.
• Conduct UAT testing and collaborate with D&T to resolve system issues.
• Prepare, analyse and review monthly financial reports, journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Perform multi‑currency bank reconciliations and inter‑company account reconciliations.
• Execute variance analysis, statutory reporting and transactional tax processing (e.g., VAT).
• Assist with annual corporation tax compliance and liaise with internal and external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Experience in consolidation and record‑to‑report processes.
