Abatement Lead

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Abatement Lead to provide technical and operational leadership for Sub‑Fab Abatement systems at the Intel Ireland Campus. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of customer equipment while driving team development and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety and quality excellence, championing a world‑class safety culture and ensuring compliance with Applied Materials and customer standards.
• Mentor and develop a highly skilled engineering team, handling workforce planning, resource allocation, and performance management.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for production‑impacting equipment issues, coordinating investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Build strong partnerships with Intel stakeholders, representing Applied Materials professionally and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Sub‑Fab Abatement systems or equivalent semiconductor Sub‑Fab equipment.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities in fast‑paced operational environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service excellence.
