Academic Skills Development Coordinator

About the role

Maynooth University is seeking an Academic Skills Development Coordinator to lead the design, delivery and evaluation of student‑centred academic skills provision. The role supports both undergraduate and postgraduate learners, ensuring inclusive and evidence‑informed support that enhances academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver a comprehensive portfolio of academic skills programmes.
• Develop new initiatives that respond to emerging student learning needs.
• Collaborate with academic staff, learning services and external partners to embed best practice.
• Evaluate the impact of programmes using data‑driven methods and adjust offerings accordingly.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff involved in academic support activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in academic support or learning development within a higher‑education setting.
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to work across departments.
• Commitment to inclusive, student‑centred practice.
• Ability to use evidence‑informed approaches to improve learning outcomes.
