Accommodation Assistant

About the role

The Accommodation Assistant ensures that every guest at McWilliam Park Hotel receives service of the highest standard. Working as part of the Accommodation Team, you will help keep the hotel safe, hygienic, efficient and welcoming while supporting other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Attend daily briefings, receive assignments and sign out any keys or equipment.
• Maintain public areas and restrooms following strict protocols, including proper signage and announcements.
• Service stay‑over rooms and clean departure rooms according to established procedures.
• Transfer linen to and from storage while adhering to laundry and manual‑handling safety standards.
• Organise trolleys and supplies, verify correct chemicals and personal protective equipment, and keep work areas clear.
• Ensure corridors remain clean and unobstructed, manage room‑service trays, and keep fire exits clear.
• Communicate continuously with supervisors, report guest requests or feedback promptly, and hand over lost property at shift end.
• Restock trolley and equipment as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed cleaning, safety and hygiene protocols.
• Physical capability to lift, move and carry linen, furniture or equipment safely.
• Strong communication skills to keep managers informed and prioritize guest needs.
• Attention to detail in maintaining clean, orderly public spaces.
