About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounting & Business Services Manager to join a growing professional services firm in Sandyford. The role is delivery‑focused, allowing you to manage a varied portfolio of SME clients while overseeing end‑to‑end accounting and compliance work. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high‑quality service and building long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients, delivering accurate year‑end and management accounts on schedule.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with FRS 102 1A and other relevant standards.
• Act as the main liaison for client queries, providing ongoing support and advice.
• Oversee and review work performed by junior staff and outsourced teams, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Control workflow, deadlines and quality across multiple assignments.
• Identify and implement process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Support and mentor junior team members as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with solid practice experience.
• Proven track record of managing client portfolios and delivering assignments end‑to‑end.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
• Proactive, organised and able to work independently.
