Accounts Assistant – Finance & Operations Support

About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a growing manufacturing business in the South Armagh area. You will support the finance function across accounts payable, stock reconciliations, month‑end activities and general financial administration while working closely with both finance and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile stock records across warehouse, production and finance systems.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and supplier queries.
• Process supplier invoices and payments within agreed deadlines.
• Produce purchase orders and support procurement activities.
• Assist with cash‑flow reporting and supplier payment runs.
• Complete supplier statement, bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support month‑end processes and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and manage a shared finance inbox.
• Identify and implement process improvements where appropriate.
• Provide general finance and administrative support to the wider team.

Required profile

• Previous accounts experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with stock reconciliations and inventory management.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using finance systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and focus on continuous improvement.
• Accounting qualifications or studies are advantageous but not essential.
