Activities Assistant – Guest Experience

About the role

Ballynahinch Castle Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic, guest‑focused Activities Assistant to support the delivery of memorable experiences across its 700‑acre estate in Connemara. You will work closely with the Activities Manager and front‑of‑house teams to ensure every activity runs smoothly from enquiry to participation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Activities Manager in planning, coordinating and delivering onsite and offsite guest activities.
• Work with Reservations and Reception to keep activity schedules aligned with guest bookings.
• Serve as the main contact for fishing club members, handling bookings, enquiries and membership fees.
• Maintain a visible presence in front‑of‑house areas, answering activity questions and offering recommendations.
• Ensure all activity equipment is organised, maintained and in excellent working condition.
• Process accurate guest billing for activities and services.
• Manage the activities and concierge inbox, responding to guest enquiries within 48 hours.
• Participate in guest experiences such as guided walks, hikes, fishing lessons, art tours and picnics.
• Support other hotel departments during quieter periods and assist with luggage handling and front‑of‑house upkeep.
