Area Support Nurse

About the role

Connected Health is seeking an Area Support Nurse to lead clinical quality and governance across a designated region of home‑care services. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will combine hands‑on nursing expertise with oversight of standards, audits and service improvement to ensure safe, person‑centred care in clients’ homes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance clinical standards, compliance and quality assurance across the assigned area.
• Identify and address service development needs, support policy creation, audit processes and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Provide clinical input for the introduction of HQIA and assist with compliance reviews and internal audits of client and staff files.
• Monitor governance issues, produce weekly updates for the Quality Manager and flag trends for escalation.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, support incident, complaint and safeguarding management.
• Assist Client Care Managers with complex patient assessments and provide clinical advice as required.
• Track quality‑improvement data and contribute to continuous improvement programmes.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current registration in Ireland.
• Experience in community or home‑care nursing, with a solid understanding of HSE tender specifications and clinical governance.
• Proven ability to lead, influence and support multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical mindset to interpret audit findings and drive service enhancements.
