Assistant Accountant

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Assist with month‑end and year‑end processes.
• Prepare account reconciliations and support financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyse financial information and report on variances.
• Support process improvements and finance‑related projects.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide financial support.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Technician or similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive problem‑solving approach.
• Part‑qualified accounting qualification or relevant finance experience is advantageous.
