Assistant Manager – Property Operations

About the role
The Assistant Manager supports day‑to‑day property operations, working closely with the Community Manager to deliver an outstanding resident experience, meet occupancy goals and achieve financial targets.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with leasing and reservations, show units, qualify prospects, prepare tenancy documentation and manage move‑in/move‑out processes.
- Use property management software to track leasing data, generate reports, monitor unit availability and log maintenance requests.
- Interact with residents to address enquiries, requests, complaints and feedback, aiming to improve service delivery.
- Support rent collection, monitor payments and follow up on arrears according to company procedures.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure the property’s condition meets standards.
- Help with marketing and promotional activities to achieve occupancy targets.
- Conduct inspections, compliance checks and health‑and‑safety tasks as required.
- Perform administrative duties such as reporting, invoicing, procurement communication and record‑keeping.
- Provide backup for the Community Manager when they are absent.
Required profile
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good organisational and numerical skills.
- Experience in property management or related real‑estate operations is advantageous.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to learn and use property management software such as Yardi or RentCafe.
