Assistant Manager – Record-to-Report (R2R)

About the role
We are looking for a motivated Assistant Manager – Record-to-Report (R2R) to lead the month‑end close and financial reporting processes within our global BPO operation. The role acts as a bridge between the finance operations team and senior stakeholders, ensuring accurate, timely reporting and strong internal controls.
Key responsibilities
- Review and approve month‑end journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, payroll and intercompany transactions.
- Review fixed‑asset subledger reconciliations to the General Ledger.
- Review and approve bank reconciliations, including foreign‑currency (FX) postings.
- Review accounting entries for leases, deferred revenue, inventory valuation and share‑based compensation.
- Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are investigated and cleared.
- Perform variance analysis across the Balance Sheet and P&L, identifying trends and risks.
- Review shadow books and bridge files from local offices, confirming alignment with trial balances.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory reporting requirements.
- Maintain and update process documentation, identifying efficiency opportunities.
- Support ERP implementations, finance transformation initiatives and related project‑management activities.
Required profile
- ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Approximately 2‑4 years post‑qualification experience in a similar finance role.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with month‑end close and financial reporting.
- Experience reviewing reconciliations and complex accounting areas.
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience supervising or mentoring team members.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle; exposure to ERP implementation projects is desirable.
- Familiarity with BlackLine or similar reconciliation tools is advantageous.
