Assistant Night Manager

About the role

The Montenotte, a luxury urban resort hotel in Cork, is seeking an Assistant Night Manager to support night‑time operations and ensure a seamless, high‑quality guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all night‑shift staff, ensuring compliance with hotel standards, policies and the employee handbook.
• Conduct nightly briefings, communicate arrivals, VIP guests, group bookings and special requests to the team.
• Welcome guests, verify accommodations, and escort them to rooms when required.
• Act as manager on duty, handling complaints, disturbances, special requests and any issues that arise.
• Coordinate Front Office activities with other departments and ensure public areas remain clean and tidy.
• Coach, train and correct staff performance as needed.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently during night hours and make quick decisions.
• Experience in hospitality or hotel operations is preferred.
