About the role

As an Assistant Store Manager at Holland & Barrett you will partner with the Store Manager to lead a high‑performing team, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and smooth store operations in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in motivating and developing staff.
• Coach colleagues to deliver world‑class service and build lasting customer relationships.
• Maintain a customer‑first approach, overseeing store efficiency and compliance.
• Drive commercial performance through sales management, cost control and operational excellence.
• Ensure stock accuracy, visual standards and promotional execution.
• Uphold health, safety and wellbeing standards across the store.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and ongoing staff development.
• Complete product training and stay updated on health and wellness trends.

Required profile

• Confident, adaptable leader thriving in a fast‑paced retail setting.
• Clear communicator able to coach, motivate and build trust.
• Commercially aware with a focus on achieving goals.
• Passionate about health, wellness and continuous learning.
• Retail or customer‑service experience with ambition for leadership.
• Comfortable using technology to enhance the customer experience.
