Assistant Store Manager (Retail)

About the role

Join Holland & Barrett as an Assistant Store Manager and help lead a vibrant retail team in delivering exceptional health‑and‑wellness experiences. Working alongside the Store Manager, you will ensure smooth daily operations while fostering a customer‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to motivate and develop a high‑performing team.
• Coach staff to provide world‑class service and build lasting customer relationships.
• Maintain store standards, stock accuracy, visual merchandising and promotional execution.
• Drive commercial performance through sales management, cost control and operational excellence.
• Uphold compliance, health, safety and wellbeing policies across the store.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and continuous development of team members.
• Complete product training and stay updated on health‑and‑wellness trends.

Required profile

• Confident, adaptable leader thriving in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Clear communicator able to coach, motivate and build trust.
• Commercially aware with a focus on achieving targets.
• Passionate about health, wellness and continuous learning.
• Retail or customer‑service experience with ambition to step into leadership.
• Comfortable using technology to enhance the customer experience.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with retail POS and inventory management systems.
