Audit Director – Private Business Segment

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Director with 5 years post‑qualification experience to join our privately‑owned business segment. You will work alongside partners, directors and managers, overseeing audit engagements for clients with turnovers ranging from €10 m to €250 m across technology, retail, distribution, professional services and engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain audit quality and consistency using our global methodology.
• Allocate departmental resources efficiently to meet client service and firm recovery targets.
• Track performance against departmental metrics such as FCR, billing, net fee income and cash collection.
• Mentor and develop staff through training and ongoing support.
• Participate in advisory projects, including strategic business planning, technical accounting for acquisitions, accounting framework transitions and collaboration with Financial Advisory and Tax teams.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years PQE, preferably from a medium or large practice.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing abilities.
• Strategic thinker with solid business acumen.
• Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
• Ability to guide others, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
