Audit Manager – Client‑Facing Role in Cavan

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our Cavan office on a full‑time, four‑day week. Reporting to the Audit Partner, you will lead audit engagements for our regional SME client base, providing both assurance and strategic business advice.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, resource and structure audit assignments, reviewing work papers and financial statements.
• Support the Audit Partner on ad‑hoc advisory projects such as revenue and banking negotiations, restructuring and litigation support.
• Supervise and mentor trainees undertaking the 3.5‑year Chartered Accountancy training programme.
• Achieve team budgets and meet agreed business‑planning performance objectives.
• Maintain high technical and professional standards while thinking strategically about client needs and risks.
• Identify and resolve issues proactively and coach team members to develop their capabilities.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• 4–5 years of external audit experience, including 1–3 years in a supervisory or management role.
