Audit Senior

About the role

RBK, a firm of Chartered Accountants with offices across Ireland, is expanding its Athlone audit team. We are looking for an Audit Senior who will take ownership of audit engagements, support client relationships and help develop junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and complete a variety of audit assignments, taking responsibility for each stage.
• Prepare and present audit reports to client management, highlighting key issues.
• Collaborate closely with Partners and the audit team to deliver high‑quality services to a portfolio of clients.
• Supervise and mentor audit team members, including trainees, to support their professional development.
• Provide proactive, value‑added advice to clients and expand both general and specialist market knowledge.
• Work with specialist service departments such as Tax, Corporate Finance and HR Solutions to deliver integrated client solutions.

Required profile

• Recently qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting principles.
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to meet strict business deadlines.
• Proactive approach to client service and business development.
