Backend Software Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join a global leader in IT services on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while building high‑performance backend systems that serve users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services using modern frameworks.
• Implement and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of services for global users.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues with a focus on uptime.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development with languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
