Business Analyst – Azure Cloud Migration

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to lead the Azure cloud migration and modernisation programme for a large organisation in Dublin. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, architects, engineers and security teams, ensuring the migration delivers tangible business value and meets compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into clear user stories, functional specifications and BRDs/FRDs.
• Analyse current and future state processes, applications, integrations and data flows to support migration planning.
• Collaborate with cloud architects to align requirements with Azure‑native solutions, including landing zones and DevOps pipelines.
• Capture non‑functional requirements such as performance, resilience, disaster recovery and regulatory compliance.
• Support UAT, defect triage and operational readiness for migrated services.
• Produce documentation including process maps, migration guides and handover materials.
• Engage stakeholders across Technology, Security, Architecture and the business throughout the project.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably on cloud or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure concepts and migration strategies.
• Experience with legacy modernisation, data‑centre exit or cloud transformation initiatives.
• Proven ability to manage requirements, model processes and facilitate stakeholder workshops.
• Comfortable discussing cloud, networking and Infrastructure‑as‑Code concepts with technical teams.
• Experience working in Agile, SAFe or hybrid delivery environments.
