Business Development Manager – Law Firm

About the role
The firm is a leading international law practice seeking a Business Development Manager to join its Dublin office. Reporting to the Regional Head of Business Development, you will act as a trusted advisor to practice groups, combining strategic planning with hands‑on execution to drive growth and strengthen client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with practice leaders to design and deliver growth strategies aligned with practice objectives.
- Lead annual planning, budgeting and KPI setting for assigned practices.
- Develop data‑driven business development plans, track performance and ROI, and use CRM and marketing systems for planning and reporting.
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, content, digital initiatives, directory submissions, sponsorships, events and speaking opportunities.
- Lead BD activities across assigned practices, support BD trips, prepare pitches, proposals, credentials and RFP responses.
- Maintain CRM data, pipelines and client intelligence; monitor market, regulatory and competitor developments.
- Identify cross‑sell opportunities and manage multi‑stream BD projects with cross‑functional teams.
- Build strong relationships with partners and internal stakeholders and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Required profile
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in business development or marketing within professional services.
- Law‑firm experience preferred; qualification in Marketing, Business or a related field advantageous.
- Strong understanding of the Irish legal and commercial landscape.
- Proven experience managing senior stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, solutions‑driven and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Calm, pragmatic approach under pressure with a strong service orientation.
Required skills
- CRM experience (e.g., InterAction) with strong data‑management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation and project‑management abilities.
