C295 Aircraft Manager – Aviation Maintenance

About the role
Airbus International Services (AIS) is seeking a C295 Aircraft Manager to lead end‑to‑end maintenance events for the Airbus Defence & Space LTA MRO network. The role will initially be based on a four‑year assignment in Portugal, supporting both short‑term and long‑term missions worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of maintenance events, from preparation through execution to close‑out.
- Develop optimal industrial solutions and deliver cost‑effective quotations within agreed timelines.
- Serve as the primary contact for the customer and the AD&S Service Programme Office during events.
- Provide technical troubleshooting assistance and coordinate engineering approaches when required.
- Collaborate with program teams, local staff, manufacturing engineering, production control and quality to ensure seamless event execution.
- Lead operational aspects of MFT (Production, Production Control, Engineering, Quality) for each event.
- Ensure compliance with milestones, quality gates, CAMO requirements, cost control and planning.
- Define statements of work for subcontractors and confirm resource availability.
- Drive on‑time delivery, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement through lessons learned.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing aircraft maintenance events or MRO projects.
- Strong knowledge of Airbus Defence & Space aircraft and associated maintenance processes.
- Ability to work internationally and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and cost‑estimation skills.
