Capital Project Accountant – Pharmaceutical Site

About the role

Arcadis is seeking a Capital Project Accountant to join the project controls group supporting a large pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Kinsale, Co. Cork. The role will work closely with project managers, procurement and project controls teams to ensure accurate capital accounting and cash‑flow reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile monthly capital cash flow, ensuring spend is accurately reflected.
• Maintain and update a rolling 12‑month capital cash‑flow forecast in line with project timelines and budget changes.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between actual cash outflows and forecasted capital spend.
• Perform year‑end cash‑flow reporting.
• Act as the primary point of contact for project managers on capital accounting matters.

Required profile

• Recognised professional accountancy qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience in capital or project accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Desirable experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector, especially GMP manufacturing.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Advanced data‑visualisation skills (Power BI, Tableau) are a plus.
