Claim Handler – Motor and Liability

About the role

Travelers Insurance is seeking a permanent Claim Handler to join its Dublin office. The successful candidate will manage motor material‑damage and liability claims, applying policy coverage, investigating incidents, negotiating settlements and ensuring high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and apply policy coverage accurately to all assigned claims.
• Investigate motor and liability claims, gathering evidence and assessing liability.
• Negotiate and settle claims in line with company guidelines and best practices.
• Reserve and authorise claim payments within approved authority levels.
• Maintain data accuracy and uphold service standards.
• Manage external vendors, monitoring quality, cost and technical standards.
• Provide technical advice and develop effective internal and external relationships.
• Collaborate with the Claims Management team and contribute to project work.

Required profile

• Strong experience handling motor material‑damage claims and liability claims (EL, PL, Motor).
• APA designation is mandatory.
• Ability to work within a regulated environment and meet Fitness & Probity standards.
