CNC Technician

About the role

Holbein Carpentry & Joinery Ltd is expanding its workshop and seeks a hands‑on CNC Technician to set up, operate and maintain CNC machinery for high‑quality timber components and bespoke joinery items. You will work in a fast‑paced production environment, ensuring precision and quality in every piece.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture components to exact specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, production schedules and cutting lists.
• Select appropriate tooling, materials and machine settings for each job.
• Carry out quality checks and adjust programmes or settings to maintain accuracy.
• Collaborate with production, design and joinery teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
• Record production data, report faults and minimise material waste.
• Write parametric programmes for CNC operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery, preferably in carpentry, joinery or wood manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and high standard of workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy workshop.
• Reliability, punctuality and good health‑and‑safety awareness.
