Community Champion

About the role

Specsavers is seeking an enthusiastic Community Champion to represent its Headford Road store in Galway. You will split your time between on‑the‑ground community work and remote planning, helping to raise awareness of eye and hearing health while building lasting relationships with local groups.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain connections with schools, charities, and community organisations.
• Plan and deliver health‑awareness events, outreach programmes and community activities.
• Act as a friendly ambassador for Specsavers, initiating conversations and opening doors for new partnerships.
• Create engaging stories for social media and local press to showcase community impact.
• Support in‑store teams by bringing in new partnership opportunities.
• Travel across Galway for visits, events and follow‑up activities.

Required profile

• Confident communicator who quickly builds rapport with new people.
• Self‑starter, motivated and able to work independently from home.
• Resilient, enthusiastic and adaptable when plans change.
• Strong organisational abilities to juggle multiple projects.
• Full driving licence.
