Construction Foreman – Fit Out & Refurbishment (County Galway)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead fit‑out and refurbishment projects across County Galway. The role requires a minimum of five years’ hands‑on construction experience and a solid understanding of current Irish building regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise sub‑contractors and labourers on site, ensuring work meets quality standards and project timelines.
• Inspect and sign‑off on subcontractor work, reporting progress and issues to the contracts manager.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers to coordinate daily activities and priorities.
• Maintain and enforce day‑to‑day health and safety standards on the construction site.
• Manage task scheduling, resource allocation, and on‑site documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of construction experience, preferably in fit‑out, refurbishment or retro‑fit projects.
• Degree in Construction Management or a relevant trade qualification (e.g., Carpentry) is desirable.
• Proven track record of delivering refurbishment or fit‑out projects on time and within budget.
• Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members and subcontractors.

Required skills

• Up‑to‑date knowledge of Irish building regulations.
• Competence in managing health and safety standards on construction sites.
